Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Jessica Siczkowycz, and I am an ALACE-trained Professional Labor Assistant in Lake Geneva. I have been married for 7 years and I have 3 children: one daughter and twin boys, all born in the hospital. I am a stay-at-home mom, Labor Assistant, Childbirth Educator in training, and thrilled to be apprenticting with midwife Jan Wolfenberg at her homebirths in Southeastern Wisconsin.

I have attended births at home and at the hospital, including VBACs. My areas served are Walworth, Kenosha, Racine and Milwaukee counties as well as Northeastern Illinois.

I believe that any woman can have a life-changing birth experience anywhere if she is properly educated on her options, supported in her labor, and, through this support, is able to trust her body to birth her baby the way it was meant to. I am committed to helping couples become active participants in their births and to have the kind of experience they can be proud of.

A Labor Assistant's role is not to replace the husband or partner. Even the most loving and devoted partner cannot "do it all" and is not a birth professional, nor should he be expected to be one. After all, he is having a baby too! I encourage the partner to be supportive but I also realize the partner's need to just enjoy the moment without having the responsibility of sole support. I think that the husband/partner and I are a great team! No one can love you like your husband or partner, and no one but a woman can know what labor and birth is really like.
