Midwives
Midwives are trained healthcare professionals who provides prenatal, birth, and postpartum care to birthing people as well as newborn care during the first six weeks postpartum. In Wisconsin, community midwives can be licensed by the state after completing their training and credential as Certified Professional Midwives. They sometimes also provide fertility support, well-person care, breastfeeding/chestfeeding support, etc. Learn more about CPMs here.
