I provide my clients with education, hands on support, and emotional steadfastness that is based on my vast experience in traditional and holistic healthcare. I believe, whole-heartedly, that the client holds the key to a memorable and fulfilling birth, by tapping into their own intuitive strength and preparing their body, mind, and spirit during the prenatal period.
Ultimately, I dare my clients to take back the sensuality and sacredness of birth while honoring that its imprint on our lives is something totally out of this world. Through my work, I hope that all birthing bodies are able to relish in the beauty that birth is and feel educated, empowered, and embraced for all that they are. This is your invitation to take back your power. Your baby is waiting for you on the other side.
Brianna Yost is a Registered Nurse, certified birth and postpartum doula, and student midwife who graduated with her Associates Degree of Nursing from Bryant & Stratton College in 2014. She spent nearly four years on the solid organ transplant unit at Froedtert Hospital. After transferring care from the hospital setting to a licensed midwife at 32 weeks pregnant with her first child, Brianna discovered that education and access to birthing options within the Milwaukee area, and the birth world in general, was seriously lacking. She obtained her doula certificate in 2018 and enrolled in midwifery school at Birthwise in Bridgton, ME. It was here that Brianna was introduced to the history of birth and how it impacts client care today. After a year of traveling back and forth to Maine with two children under two at home, Brianna confronted the reality that her mind, body, and life was telling her to slow down, retreat, and learn more. Since 2019 she has been focused on building her doula practice, confronting biases within herself and the healthcare system, and working part time as a nurse in Integrative Care and LTC/Rehab setting.
Brianna offers both birth and postpartum doula support, with a focus on prenatal education through partnership with [M]otherboard Birth. She is passionate about client advocacy and care that addresses the individual as a whole person, capable of involvement in their own care, with unwavering support from their birth team. When she is not working, you can find her reading, crocheting, thrifting, camping and exploring with her family, and unschooling her two kiddos.
